There are my current beauty favorites and things I’m loving lately (and most of it is drugstore)!
Well it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a favorites roundup hasn’t it? Not to say I don’t have any favorites, but there hasn’t been much that has changed lately!
I’m also happy to mention that there’s quite a few drugstore products here! I love finding drugstore gems.
Here’s what I’m loving these days:
Flower Beauty Ultimate 3-in-1 Blending Sponge | Wait. Are you telling us that something has replaced your love for the Beauty Blender!? I think it’s official kiddos. I have a new love. This sponge is soft and makes it easy to blend out foundation and concealer. I’m not sure what they were going for with the shape (it’s a bit awkward), but it doesn’t feel like you’re punching yourself in the face when you use it like some other sponges (which I appreciate).
Tresemme Botanique Damage Recovery Conditioner | I have very fine hair, but a lot of it, so finding a shampoo and conditioner that moisturize my long ass dehydrated hair without weighting it down can be a challenge. I picked this up from Walmart when it first came out and haven’t looked back since. It really just works for me and the SMELL! Oh. My. Gosh. It. Smells. So. Good. Just go and smell it at the very least.
Smashbox Studio Skin 15-Hour Foundation | I picked up a sample of this (usually I impulsively purchase the entire bottle) because part of me just thought it wasn’t going to work for me. The first time I put it on I kept looking at my skin throughout the day and catching myself in a mirror thinking to myself ‘wow my makeup is still holding up’. I really liked the way it looked. My pores stayed minimized, my skin looked hydrated and I really enjoyed this foundation. I will absolutely be picking up the full size.
O’Keefe’s Lip Repair Tube | Oh my gosh my lips have been SO dry lately. Like not just dry but abnormally, wake-up-in-the-morning-and-barely-smile dry. I tried Chapstick, Carmex, lip masks and nothing seemed to work. It was driving me crazy at work. Especially since I can’t go a day without wearing lip gloss (yes, yes I know…wearing lip gloss doesn’t help…thank you dry lip police). I didn’t know what had happened. I started picking up any lip balm or mask I could find looking for any relief, a lot of the products being high end. I’ve NEVER in my life spent $30 on a lip balm…but it happened. I purchased a cheap looking lip balm from Walmart on a whim and it’s been a game changer. Even my $24 Glam Glow lip mask from Sephora couldn’t match up. I’ve been using this every day since and my lip dryness is GONE. Best $3 ever spent, seriously. Getchu some.
NYX Butter Gloss in “Madeleine” | Best lip gloss ever? I think so. This is my go-to every day lip gloss. I love finding favorite at the drugstore! It makes me so freakin’ happy. I have five shades of these lip glosses and love every single one. Especially this one. It’s not sticky, it lasts a while on the lips, and it’s very similar in shade to my natural lip color… so it’s like a “your lips but better” gorgeous shine. I stock up on these like crazy.
“A Thousand Wishes” Fragrance Mist | I’m not a HUGE Bath and Body Works fan, but from time to time I’ll venture into the store to check out the new smells. I instantly fell in love with this one and quite literally wear it nearly every day. When I bought it there was a sale going on…like 3 for $15. So obviously I bought three (different scents though, of course, but this one is my FAVE). Now I’ll warn you, I can’t describe scents AT ALL. But next time you go to Bath and Body Works, check this one out! It’s a floral, sweet scent, which I love. Perfect for spring, but would still work year round. It compares to a high end perfume and I love it. I’ll be needing a second bottle soon.
Wet ‘N’ Wild Color Icon Bronzer “Ticket to Brazil”| This wouldn’t be a summer beauty favorites post if I didn’t incorporate a bronzer now would it? You’re getting to know me very well. In full confession, I didn’t like this bronzer when I first bought it and got it home. I thought to myself, what was I thinking it looks SO orange?! I almost took it back before even opening it. Needless to say, I’m glad I opened it. It doesn’t look orange. But I truly find myself reaching for this product more than any other bronzer I own. Now, it’s glittery. I guess “glittery” isn’t a good term. It’s…shimmery…but not in a bad way. “Shimmery” as in adds a gorgeous sheen to the face. It’s not too pigmented, but it’s buildable. I really do enjoy this!
St. Moriz Professional Fast Tanning Mousse | It’s no secret that I self-tan. And if you didn’t know, well, then, I guess the cat is out of the bag. I’ve been really enjoying the St. Moriz products, but this one it probably my favorite of them all because the tone of the color. It’s olive-toned, but has a hint of red it in which makes it look more like a natural tan, and it’s possible to match makeup to (I can never match my face makeup to super olive tanners). To read my full review on my favorite self-tanners and what I love (and things I don’t love) about this product, read this post.
Models Own Grand Finale Loose Finishing Powder | Okay, watch out Laura Mercier! This $13 powder is giving you a run for your money. It feels and looks super similar, but for like a third of the price tag. It’s translucent, but it isn’t white (which I actually like) and it doesn’t create a white cast or flash back in photography. I used this setting powder in this makeup tutorial.
These we all things I have been really enjoying during these summer months!
